Galatasaray left no chance for Voluntari and Kristina Guncheva, the Turkish team is in the CEV Cup final

Galatasaray Daikin (Istanbul) encountered no difficulties in the second semi-final against CSO Voluntari 2005 either, securing their place in the CEV Cup women's final with another emphatic 3:0 victory (25:13, 25:10, 25:8). Following their 3:0 (25:14, 25:15, 25:19) success in the first leg in Istanbul, the Turkish team concluded the semi-final clash without losing a single set in both matches.

The return leg in Bucharest was entirely dictated by the visiting team. Galatasaray allowed Voluntari to score only 31 points in just over an hour of play, with the point difference increasing in each subsequent set. Thus, the team of Bulgarian setter Kristina Guncheva ended their European campaign just a step away from the final.

The top scorer for the winners was Myriam Fatime Sylla with 15 points, while Alexia Ioana Căruțașu added 12. For Voluntari, not a single player managed to exceed 10 points, which only underscored the complete dominance of the Turkish powerhouse in the return leg. Statistics from the first match also showed Galatasaray's significant superiority, as they had already subdued their opponent in Istanbul with a total score of 75:48 points.

Galatasaray will now await their opponent in the final from the other semi-final between Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri '76 and Dresdner. In the first match, the Italian team secured a very valuable away victory with a 3:2 score (23:25, 24:26, 25:14, 25:14, 15:10), taking an advantage before the return leg.
