Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza took a key step towards the semifinals after winning away against Modena with a score of 3:1 (25:17, 17:25, 25:20, 30:28) and taking the lead in the series. Thus, the team will have the opportunity to close out the quarterfinal at home.

The match offered a high level and significant tension, with the serve being a decisive factor for most of the game. Piacenza showed greater stability in attack and fewer errors in key moments, especially at the end of the fourth set, where they managed to succeed after six missed match points.

The fourth set was indeed the most dramatic, with the game going point for point. Modena managed to equalize at 20:20 and then saved a series of match points before an attack error by the hosts ended the contest.

The top scorer and fully deserved MVP was the Turkish national Mandıracı with 19 points, being the main driving force in attack. Luca Porro also finished with 19 points for Modena and kept the hosts in the match, especially with a series of aces in the second set. Gutierrez (13 points) and Bovolenta (12 points) also performed strongly for the winners, while Davyskiba added 16 points for Modena.
