Levski 2005 Karlovo entered the Premier League after a dramatic final against Aitos

Levski 2005 (Karlovo) is the new member of the Super League, after defeating Aitos 3:2 (23:25, 25:23, 25:21, 21:25, 15:11) in the final of the A NVG. The match in the capital's "Hristo Botev" hall lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes and offered a serious dose of tension and twists.

The nominal guests from Aitos started the match better and took the first set with 25:23, setting the pace at the start. However, a reaction followed from the Karlovo team, who tightened their ranks and gradually imposed their rhythm. This allowed them to turn the match around after successes in the second and third sets – 25:23 and 25:21.

In the third set, Levski 2005 suffered a serious blow after the middle blocker Georgi Barbichukov got injured and left the game. Despite this, the team from Karlovo maintained concentration and continued to dictate events on the court.

Aitos did not give up and in the fourth set took advantage of the opponent's hesitation to equalize after 25:21. At the end of the set, the Karlovo team got within just one point, but could not prevent the match from going into a tie-break.

In the decisive fifth set, both teams started equally, but Levski 2005 gradually took the initiative and did not allow a comeback. The Karlovo team closed the match at 15:11 and celebrated the valuable success, which brings them promotion to the Super League.
