Kifissia defeated Foinikas Syros 3:1 (25:19, 25:15, 19:25, 25:23) in the derby of the Greek Volley League playouts and took an important step in the battle for survival in the elite.
After the success, Nikos Zalmas' team accumulated 20 points, while Foinikas has 15, and Floisvos – 14.
The hosts dominated the first two sets thanks to strong serving and a stable block. Foinikas brought back intrigue after a strong third set, but in the fourth part, Kifissia showed more stability in decisive moments and closed out the match.
After the end of the match, there was a brief tension between the two teams, which was quickly brought under control.
The MVP of the match was the Bulgarian setter Svetoslav Stankov, who finished with 7 points (3/4 attack, 4 blocks).

Three teams participate in the playouts – Kifissia, Foinikas Syros, and Floisvos. They play against each other and accumulate points in an overall ranking. After all matches are played, the last two teams in the table are relegated to the Pre League, and only one retains its place in the Volley League.
