Verona broke Milan and qualified for the semi-final against Lube

Italian Rana Verona continues its impressive performance in the SuperLega playoffs, after closing the series against Allianz Milano with a decisive 3:0 (25:21, 25:23, 25:20) victory in the fourth quarterfinal match, played at "Allianz Cloud".

With this success, the team from Verona wins the series and for the first time in its history reaches the semifinals in the title race, where they will face the powerhouse Lube Civitanova.

The visitors demonstrated stability in all elements, asserting control from the very first set. Milano tried to react in the second part, but in crucial moments Verona showed greater effectiveness in attack. The third set proceeded under the dictation of the visitors, who closed the match without hesitation.

Top Scorers

For the winners from Verona:

  • Noumory Keita – 18 points

  • Darlan Ferreira Souza – 13 points

  • Rok Možič – 12 points

For Allianz Milano:

  • Tommaso Ichino – 11 points

  • Tatsunori Otsuka – 10 points

  • Ferre Reggers – 8 points

Verona showed better offensive efficiency and greater stability in crucial moments, which proved decisive for the final outcome. Milano failed to compensate with enough serving aggression and allowed too many fluctuations in reception.
